Deinosuchus

The non-dinosaur Deinosuchus was discovered 1850. It was named 1909. Deinosuchus looks like a dinosaur, but it actually isn't! It has different... origins? I don't actually know why it isn't a dinosaur. But I once thought it was too. The name means "Terrible Crocodile". It lived 80 million to 73 million years ago. In the Cretaceous Period. Not much is known of this extinct animal.
