Diplocaulus

The Diplocaulus actually lived before the dinosaurs! It lived In the Permian Period 270 million years ago, before the first dinosaur. It is actually a prehistoric amphibian. It was discovered 1878, in Texas. Diplocaulus means "Double Caul" because of it's boomerang shaped head. It is in the Lepospondyl.
