Mosasaurus

The Mosasaurus was discovered 1784, at the Meuse River, what it was named after. It lived in the Cretaceous Period about 70 million years to 66 million years ago. Mosasaurus means "Meuse Lizard", cause like I said it was discovered at the Meuse River. Though it was discovered 1784, It wasn't found rapidly until 1770. Mosasaurus is a type of Mosasaur, a group of extinct reptiles that lived at the time of dinosaurs. Just like Pterosaurs, it is NOT A DINOSAUR. Mosasaurus is most likely the most popular extinct aquatic reptile, because it is a star in Jurassic World. It is actually a lot smaller than shown in the film, but was huge.
