Velociraptor

The famous Velociraptor, was discovered 1924. It was also named,1924. The Velociraptor has two species. Velociraptor  Mongoliensis, and Velociraptor Osmolskae. Velociraptor is actually confirmed to have had feathers, thanks to fossils. Velociraptor was discovered at Mongolia. It lived in the Cretaceous Period about 75 million to 71 million years ago. So there wouldn't be any fights between it and Tyrannosaurus Rex. Though they did live at the same time period, they lived about 8 million years apart. Velociraptor Osmolskae was actually discovered on the border mark between China and Mongolia, and was named in 2008 for having a different skull material then most other dinosaurs. It's six inch toe claw some scientists think was actually not used for battle, but for showing it's age, but most scientists disagree and say it was used for battle, at the moment, it's confirmed it was used for battle. A lot of people say it was part of the Raptor group, like I once did. But it turns out there is no such thing. It is part of a group known as Dromaeosaurids group. It is actually only the size of a large turkey, not six feet like in Jurassic Park. The Velociraptor was named by Henry F. Osborn.

Question: Did all the dinosaurs die out or have some survived to the present day? Grandpa D

    1. I'm not sure if you're saying that I'm an old bird or not because some may think I'm as old as the dinosaurs! GPD
